A high school diploma in 5 easy tests

Since becoming a candidate for City Council in Toronto Ward 29, I have had the opportunity to meet and talk to various members of the community. As part of this, I have spent at great deal of time listening to their concerns.

There is a difference between having a life and having a career. They are not, and should not be regarded as the same. Who you are is not the same as what you do. That said, it is difficult to have a life without some kind of job or career. It is harder and harder to get “your foot in the door” for many kinds of jobs. There is now an expectation that people approach the job search process with a minimal level of education. Obviously, different levels of education are required for different kinds of jobs and careers.

That said, it is hard to proceed without a “High School Diploma”. Continue reading
